Good people of Immanuel!
The concession stand committee desperately needs your help. We are looking for volunteers to help work the concession stand at a few games. We are not asking you to “plan, organize, facilitate, systematize, arrange, set up, manage, control, or even coordinate”! All that work has been done for you by Pam Marasco, Pam Weishaar and Shannon Ancona!
Here is what we need from YOU: 30 minutes of your time over the course of the season. Think about it…we have 129 kids in Immanuel Mel Ott. If someone worked 30 minutes at the concession stand for every kid that’s playing this year, we would have enough help for…um…well…about…hmmm…uh…let’s see…well…64 hours and 30 minutes!!! That is more than enough help to get us through the year.
Think about this. How cool is it for Immanuel to have OTHER churches financially support OUR program by purchasing ‘stuff’ at OUR concession stand? That’s FREE money people!
Something else to think about. We do absolutely NO fundraising over the course of the year for Mel Ott. We don’t sell magazines. We don’t sell candy. We don’t have car washes. We don’t…well, you get the point! We have a concession stand!
“Hey Don, we had a concession stand last year! Where did all THAT money go?” Great question! We invested almost $2400 into our infield this spring. 37 ton of gray Diamond Dust and 17 ton of red Washington Ball Mix (plus delivery, of course!) About 1/3 of that bill was paid for by concession stand income from last year.
In closing, we are not asking for much. Just 30 minutes of your time. If you are so moved, please volunteer to help by telling your coach, team parent, or anyone at the concession stand…that is if anyone is working!...that you are here to help!
30 minutes pales in comparison to the time that our coaches spend helping our teams! It's also less time than was spent writing this request!
JUST DO IT!
