Field Locations

St. Peter Macomb - All games on their school grounds, 24 Mile Rd & Romeo Plank

St. Peter Eastpointe - All games on their school grounds, 9 Mile Rd & Gratiot

Trinity Utica - All Coach Pitch, Beginner and Juniors at Eppler Jr. High, Van Dyke north of M59. K1 right next door to Trinity School, M59 & Van Dyke - East of the school by one block.

St. John Fraser - All games on the school grounds, 14 Mile Rd & Utica.

St. Luke - All games on the school grounds, South Nunnelly between Groesbeck & Gratiot just south of 16 Mile Rd.

What is Mel Ott Baseball?

The Mel Ott Memorial Lutheran Baseball League was founded in 1956, after the late Hall of Fame baseball player, Mel Ott. The league consists of 8 local area Lutheran churches. This year, Immanuel has 11 teams, 129 players, over 50 coaches, and many, many volunteers! Since 2005, the size of our program has doubled! To God Be the Glory!

Our philosophy is to teach the basic fundamentals of baseball to each player...and make it FUN. Our coaches promote Christian sportsmanship and team building with every opportunity they have. Everything we do as a program is done for the KIDS, to help them develop a love for the game!

Mel Ott Baseball is part of the Immanuel Church Athletic Ministry. We strongly encourage our teams to pray before and after games or practices. Anyone can lead the prayer. A coach. A player. A parent. We've made it a tradition to invite the opposing team to join us at home plate before each game to pray. Some teams join us and some teams don't! That's ok. Either way, we will be a positive Christian example to the rest of the league.
